Some Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Sun reported that Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters will leave north London on loan in January and the Eagles are interested.

The England U21 full-back has made three Premier League starts so far this season, all coming in the first three league games of the campaign.

Following the 1-0 loss to Newcastle, the 22-year-old was dropped by Mauricio Pochettino in favour of Serge Aurier, who has retained his place in the XI.

Walker-Peters – who came through the Spurs academy – has been tipped to join Palace seemingly as Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s temporary replacement – the Eagles never replaced the right-back after his summer departure to Manchester United, leaving Joel Ward as their only recognised senior option in that department.

Two fans below said that Ward is better than Walker-Peters, whereas another supporter said the youngster would be a good back-up for Ward if he were to get injured.
