Arsenal have reportedly presented a formal offer to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP this summer.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for Sporting CP goal machine Gyokeres for much of the 2024-25 campaign and the club are now acting swiftly to get the deal done. According to , some of the club's directors attended Arsenal Women's team's Champions League triumph over Barcelona last weekend in Lisbon, and after the match, they met Gyokeres' agent, Hasan Cetinkaya.

The report adds that Arsenal have presented an offer worth €70 million (£58m/$79.5) plus a target-based fee. Gyokeres will receive a €12m signing bonus and earn €7m per season in wages if agrees to join the Gunners. Cetinkaya will now present the offer to Sporting president Frederico Varandas.

Manager Mikel Arteta intends to build a roadmap for success next season, which he will work on with his support staff, with an end-of-season performance review scheduled. The Spaniard has also revealed that recruitment is set to be a key area that Arsenal must get right this summer.
