A day of drama in the Premier League yesterday afternoon saw Birmingham and Blackpool join West Ham in the Championship, while Carlo Ancelotti was axed in a Chelsea corridor after Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park. Guus Hiddink is the firm favourite to take over the reins at Stamford Bridge, although most Blues fans seemingly want the return of Jose Mourinho.

In the papers this morning there have been a mixed bag of stories that include Alex McLeish looking for a swift return to the Premier League; Kevin Keen reveals that he is nasty enough to be West Ham boss, while Arsene Wenger hopes of a Wilshere reprieve.
